Le Baron & Le Montana Vital statistics: 6 Avenue Marceau / 28 rue Saint-Benoît Le Baron and its new sister club, Le Montana, are always tough to get into – but don’t think about turning up during Paris Fashion Week unless your name is on the door or you have Gisele Bündchen on your arm. Though small, Le Montana has hosted parties for some very big names – including Diane Von Furstenberg and Kate Moss (who celebrated her 37th birthday here), while Le Baron has had the pleasure of seeing Sofia Coppola and Björk grace its dancefloor.Insider tip: Dress to impress if you hope to make it past the doormen.

JEAN-YVES LE FUR / PATRON DE LA MONTANA

Think fashion, you think Paris. The city that brought us Coco Chanel’s camelia, Yves Saint Laurent’s le smoking and le beret more than caters for its stylish disciples with beautiful hotels, chic eateries and designers galore. But where are the beautiful people partying these days? La Montana, darling – the 60s hotspot hits back with a fabulous, if slightly limp-wristed punch.

CARINE + JULIA ROITFELD

CARINE + JULIA ROITFELD

Resuscitated in time for spring Fashion Week in 2009 by nightlife impresario André Saraiva of Le Baron and Purple mag editor Olivier Zahm, it has since hosted parties for the likes of Diane Von Furstenberg and sees celebs and models among its regulars. It’s not a massive space (alright, it's absolutely tiny), but what there is has been intricately designed with graphic, chalky sketches on black walls, and its location right next to the iconic (and correspondingly overpriced) Café de Flore makes it a prime spot for the it kids to try and join the likes of Lagerfeld and Castelbajac inside.

Quite possibly the hottest and most exclusive nightspot currently on the Paris club scene, Le Montana is the nocturnal hangout of choice for the capital’s models, celebs and scenesters. This is the first Left Bank outpost for Andre, the internationally renowned graffiti-artist responsible for Paris' coolest private club, Le Baron, who opened Le Montana in collaboration with Purple Magazine’s Olivier Zahm during fashion week in 2009. In a well-heeled area just a stone’s throw from the iconic Cafe de Flore, the ground floor hosts a suitably chic, hotel-style bar, with a refined and comfortable vibe. Meanwhile, fun and frolics take place downstairs in the club in the vaulted basement, which boasts an eclectic decor by interior designer Vincent Darré featuring black wallpaper with contrasting white natural history inspired motifs and zany chairs with bones for legs.
