'I LOVE A STORY YOU CAN READ IN 30 SECONDS' K.L.
KARL LAGERFELD / MY
KARL LAGERFELD offered his tips with what to do in Paris, from evening haunts to restaurants to his preferred shops.
"My favourite shop is Colette on Rue Saint-Honoré," he explained. "For jewellery I go to Lydia Courteille on the Rue Saint-Honoré and for books Galignani on Rue De Rivoli, and my own bookshop, 7L on Rue De Lille. For clothes I shop at Dior Homme and I buy my paper at Sennelier. It's next door to where I live - it is the most famous place for paper, pencils and stationery."
Although he names Raspoutine, Club Le Baron and Le Montana as the coolest places to spend an evening out in the city, he himself prefers a quieter social life.
"I tend not to go to public places, I go to people's houses," he toldStylist. "I am not a cocktail party person and I have no need, no want, as I have already done a lot of this in my life."
He is, however, partial to dining out.
"I love to go La Maison Du Caviar because they have the best caviar in the world - there is nothing like it and I have been going since I was 16 or 17," he said. "I also like the atmosphere and food in Café De Floré."
